Rey Feo, his Royal Court, and all his committees operate under and by the authority of the Rey Feo Scholarship, Inc. LULAC Council #2, 501(c)(3) organization, with non- profit status, that has raised more than $5 million in scholarships awarded to more than 3,000 area students.

The Rey Feo Consejo Educational Foundation was founded by Rey Feo XXXII Logan Stewart in 1982. It was through Logan Stewart’s efforts that the Rey Feo was formally invited to be a part of Fiesta in 1980. Read More

What Rey Feo does

The Rey Feo achieves the reign by raising at least $225,000 for scholarships in a friendly competition. Every year these funds are distributed through renewable awards to high school seniors and college students in the form of a $2000 annual scholarship for books & tuition. Read More

Rey Feo & Fiesta

The Rey Feo Consejo and its members host both the free, public crowning of the Rey Feo at Main Plaza and the Crown Celebration after-party to help kick-off Fiesta. The second major fundraiser is the annual Noche de Los Reyes Gala held every November. Read More

About Sal Barbaro III

Education is power!

Dr. Salvatore Barbaro III is currently a specialist in clinical and interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, and endovascular medicine here in San Antonio, Texas for over 20 years. Dr. Barbaro began his medical career at the University Autonoma of Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico and later did his medical internship and residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York. Subsequently, Dr. Barbaro performed his cardiology and electrophysiology fellowships at Christ Hospital and Illinois Masonic Hospital respectively in Chicago, Illinois. He also trained in endovascular medicine at Presbyterian Hospital under world renowned Dr. Tony Das in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Barbaro then planted his roots and raised his family right here in San Antonio, Texas and currently practices both in Del Rio and San Antonio as well as Las Vegas, Nevada. He holds full clinical privileges in both the Baptist and Christus Santa Rosa hospital systems. He was an Airman in the New York Air National Guard where he received an honorable discharge prior to attending medical school, rejoined again, and is now a retired Air Force flight surgeon from Kelly Air Force Base. A devout Christian man, he is currently working on his master’s in divinity(MDiv) at Rockbridge Theological Seminary and attends Community Bible Church. He is married to Jennifer Gabriel Barbaro and together they have seven children, Sal IV, Gregory, Michelle, Gabrielle, Brooke, Dillon and Sofia. Dr. Barbaro self-funded his entire eight years of education including medical school. He is passionate about giving back to education. His message to both the children and young adults will be God first, family second and education and career third in that order.
